Trigger Reach

Cajun gun works sell extreme reach reduction kit for CZ. It will lessen the trigger position at rest for DA/SA models. There ae different options too for lighter trigger pull. I have mine 5lbs DA, 2.5 SA. I use federal primers and primarily use in competition.

Those of you saying CZ are crazy. Unless you're talking about using it in SA. the DA trigger reach on those things is ridiculous.

Felt recoil with the EMP 9mm is nil. Many of my female clients enjoy shooting it. Only downside is it's price point.

Did some googling and this is what I found on trigger reach measurements in inches:

Glock Gen3 G17: 2.83
Glock Gen4 G17: 2.76
S&W M&P9: 2.64 (Med)
Ruger SR9: 2.68
1911: 2.7-2.8 (Depending on acc.)
CZ 75B: 2.75 (SA) 3.04 (DA)

Anyone else have any measurements to add?

Exactly! How small are her hands that the small grip is too big? I have small hands and I shoot w/ the large backstrap. How much finger is she trying to put on the trigger?

My wife had been looking for the same thing. The EMP was nice, but quite spendy! So far, she likes the Ruger SR9, but not the trigger safety. The FN FNX9 is the best she's found so far. Give that, or the previous generation, the FNP a whirl. The DA is ok, but the SA is great! Ergo is similar to a 1911 with a slim grip and interchangeable back straps.

would your wife consider a compact semi auto? the Sig Sauer P225 is known for user friendly ergonomics; grip comfort and trigger acquisition appreciated by those that have large hands... and those that have small hands.

Trigger reach is too far on the P225.
