IMO, they are just pre Glock LEO followers & elitist snob type guns. There is nothing revolutionary or superior to the P-7 over other guns. If HK didn't make them & some LE agencies adopt them, they would not have near as much of the following as they do now. Some people just want any guns LEOs use/used or ones that cost much more than other guns. It's an exclusivity thing to some degree. It's also the same with ammo, clothing, vehicles, etc. I don't get it at all myself.

I've taken several classes with mine. I've never been in a class in which the shooting exercises ran so long that the gun (1) got too hot; or (2) didn't have adequate time to cool down.

It's more likely to be a problem at the range where you might be inclined to shoot for an extended period.

        imho, H&K P7

I can see why those that have not had the pleasure of shooting this great engineered piece would wonder & question "Why?"

After you shot a H&K P7 = Why? turns to How!

"How" can I get ahold of one of these

Again, fwiw/.02: Its a platform, no reason to debate this vs that. It does its part, fits its role, and is another "option".

If everything was just ONE of these: 1911 this, Glock that, Polymer vs Polymer, Wheel Gun; Bottom Feeder . . . . wouldn't the gun world be a little boring.

Train like you Fight, Fight like you Train. Be one with anything you have in your hand, doesnt matter __x__ or __z__, Just be EFFECTIVE in every aspect with it.

        Another, Again ^ IMHO.

        Have a great one

His post was more elegant than CG ever will be. It was awesomely hilarious. I think he meant it that way though.

One of these and a wheelgun. They keep getting put on the back burner, but they must be had.

Shoot one and you will understand.. Maybe on a range that will allow you to rapid fire.

I think anyone who has interest in the P7 weapon system, be it love or hate, should read this article from a few years back. It pretty much covers everything you need/want to know about the pistol and then some: http://www.hkpro.com/forum/hk-handgu...tml#post976579

There are lots of people who seem to have strong opinions about the P7 who know very little about what makes it unique and/or desirable.
