    9mm reliability and accuracy

Curious for those who have owned or extensively fired the following 9mm's, which are the most accurate and reliable?

    92FS
    CZ75B
    M&P9
    P226

I am not interested in comparing things like cost, ergonomics, weight, simplicity, etc. Only accuracy and reliability, and by reliability I mean least prone to malfunction ie, ftf, fte, mag issues.

I've handled and fired all of them, but only a handful of rounds. I'm curious if there is a general consensus.

    Thanks,
    Joe

All of them are reliable, never have problems on either of the 4 you mentioned.

I can't speak to reliability but as to accuracy, "whats in your wallet?".

The more money you have for 9mm practice ammo, the more accurate those guns become for you.

The more subsidies you have, the less self reliant people will be.

My 20 year old 92FS has always been accurate and reliable. Zero failures
My 6 week old M&P 9 has performed the same.

I liked the rental sig 226 I used 20+years ago. Considering it was a rental gun it never jammed and was very accurate.

The p226 is still one heck of a reliable hunk of metal, even though most are made in the US now. Not a beauty queen, unless you think a Pug is a cute dog, as the gun is "so ugly you have to love it". It's a tack driver, and when you are in the right states, there is a great 20 rd mag for it. Easy to strip and clean, cant go wrong with one.

All of these guns are more accurate than any shooters... It all depends on how the gun feels and fits in your hand.

I believe that the accuracy of all quality hand guns made today are about the same. it all comes down to the shooter, the time spent on the gun, the familiarality with it and how comfortable the shooter is with the gun.

for myself im pretty good with my 92fs. i can punch the center of the target at 25ft. gimme my friends glock 17, 226, 2022, sr40 or 228 and im not so hot. Then again its not my gun and i dont shoot it often enough to shoot it like my 92fs

I'm owned all the guns in question. If we are discounting all the factors you mentioned, I'd say the that out of the box:

                      1. the Beretta 92FS is the most reliable by a hair over the SIG 226.
                      2. the 226 is a hair more accurate than the box S&W M&P9

I've only had my M&P9 for a year, so it is hard to compare with the years I've been shooting the SIG or Beretta (I sold the CZ), but after a little trigger work, my M&P9 seems to compare well to both of these

I've never run into a brand name 9mm that wasn't reliable or accurate.

I own a few of P226 but carried for years the M9 in the Army.

I'm most accurate with the Beretta than I am with the Sig. I don't know why but with the Beretta I can hit anything with one shot.

I feed FMJ, JHPs, and GDHP +Ps through my P226 and it eats it all. Very reliable gun.

My 92fs and 226 have been very accurate, very reliable for many, many years. I've fired the CZ in 40 cal and 9mm and *I* was not a very a good shooter with it as I am not a good shooter with Glocks.

I've been interested in the M&P but accuracy is not one of its strengths right now according to the Internets without work out of the box that pushes it up into the price range of the HK P30. http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=97829 and http://10-8performance.blogspot.com/...m-barrels.html
