    Colt Python Price

I have an an opportunity to purchase a Colt Python.

From what I know it was made in 1981, 6 inch barrel and is nickel plated. It has only been taken to the range 4 times. I would say it is 95% overall. It does not include the manual or box.

My question is how much is this weapon worth?

1300-1400 sounds about right. I've seen NIB 99% models as low as 1500

Those are awesome guns, id like to own one someday. Thats one of the guns I feel as long as you take care of it will never loose its value. 6" Nickel model is the one to have.

I agree with the above price.

My dad has the exact same one... the best revolver ever produced imo..

In 20 years if you keep it in the same condition the price could triple..

1200 for one in 95%. That finish in 95% Blue Book is about 700.00 but expect to pay more in CA.

Blue book is BS. You won't find one out of state for $700 anywhere.
almost every value I check is below market on the blue book- as if it's lagging back 5 years.

Blue book is not BS. Blue Book is a guide. You obviously didn't read my post. You must go by what they are asking on Gunbroker then. Up to the individual to pay 2.5 times higher than its worth.

I have the same model,I don't know what year it was produced, but it had been dropped. Shoots like a dream, much better than the stainless one I bought in the 90's. Nice piece by the way.

It's like the same exact gun too. I think Ricks is stainless though

It really depends on how badly you want it. $200 +/- for a Python is not bad if it is what you are looking for.

Sold my 4" barrel for about $1,300 on GB about 1 1/2 years ago. It was the nickel plated model. The "ultimate stainless" was a pre 1974 model and after it was the nickel plated.
