You forgot to mention if it is an internal or external extractor.

Also if external, if it is the long or short one.

It is external, not sure long or short... I didn't know they had different length extractors, I will take a picture tonight.

Why not try different ammo - might be a bad lot. Also check the chamber make sure it's clean.

Yes, I will try the ammo I used the first time (when I didn't have any problems). I still have a couple of packs left.

I have a new P226 and it eats any kind of ammo I put through it. The gun should work perfectly with any ammo, unless you got a faulty batch of ammo. I would send the gun back to Sig to get fixed if you can determine the ammo was not defective.

Yup, that is the newer long extractor.

It is likely over-tensioned and applying too much lateral pressure to the casing.

SIG CS knows about it and should send you a shipping label to return it for repair
