Follow the teenyboppers to their nail polish haunts. You will find some outrageous colors which may suit your vision better than the limited palette found in the Testor's regime.

Undercoat with white, let it set, put on the color and follow it with a clear coat. The white undercoat helps the color from being muted by the gun's coating, especially useful if the gun is dark e.g. black. The clear coat will add a little pop to the color and it is usually formulated to be a little harder than the color coat.

It's also fun to tell the girl behind the counter it's not for me, it's for my gun.

I have had great luck using the automotive touch up paint sold in the nearly nail polish sized bottles at most auto dealers. In my case, I have a white car so I used the same touch up paint that takes care of nicks in the paint job. Just a "dot" on my black front sight gives me an effect similar to the "gold bead" sight picture. I use just a dot, so my sights still stand out on all backgrounds...even white backgrounds.

Of course, nail polish would do an excellent job as well. The automotive touch up paint is what I happened to have sitting around.

I've tried many combinations and found the best to be neon orange front and neon green rear. I have also tried this combo with green and orange bulls eye's with no difference in bullet placement. My shooting partner has came to the same conclusion as I have making the above statement not entirely true but, it may be for some. Do your own testing and see what works best for you.

I used orange. Doesn't almost perfectly match most shirts/jackets.

Neon nail polish. Easy to see and is durable (doesnt scrape off easily. Quick and easy to reapply. Cheap too!

            WTB used AK MFER.
