    Sig 2022?

What are your thoughts on the quality of the Sig 2022? I am looking at a possible buy on one in 9mm. I have only seen older reviews. If anyone here owns one any info would be appreciated. I know the prices are so reasonable it almost makes be think the quality is not the same as the rest of the p series.

One of my friends has one, it is nice and feels really good, I enjoy shooting it. Hold it and see if you like it, I think it is a nice gun.

For the price, it is a very good handgun.

They tend to not like federal ammo. Other than that they work great!

Just picked up a box of federal, will see. I have the 9mm and shoot mostly Wal Mart White box from it. I have yet to have a single issue with it. Feels great, shoots great, and the price is great!

i own one in .40 and id say its a good gun. just a little bulky in my opinon but it fires great. i fired winchester target loads and it did just fine without flaw.

Couple years back when everyone was sending them back for repair we kinda all figured out federal was loaded a little light.

While I am at it how is the P228? I have seen some deals on those as well.

I bought one in 9mm as our first handgun. Cost me $450 with night sights. Since then, my wife loved it and has made it her own.

It has shot everything we could put through it including Federal, Winchester WB, and HP ammo.

Very accurate with a nice SA trigger. It is a breeze to field strip and clean.

I believe it is the highest value DA/SA pistol on the market when considering price/performance.

Sounds good so far. I spoke to a few people at different gun shops. Some were a little reserved in their recommendation for this gun. Others think it is a great gun and it happens to be a very good value. I had one tell me to just save the difference and get the P series sigs.

Got a P228 a couple months ago. Fantastic gun. I don't know if you know much about them, but there are currently no "new" models unless you buy one used that is "new in box". I think Sig is doing a run of them stamped M11, but they will never be like the West German 228s that you can get used.

Top Gun Supply has all the parts you need for a 228, and most parts for the 229 are interchangeable if I'm not mistaken.

I have heard because the slides are not stainless steel they can rust... I've yet to see one that was at least somewhat taken care of that rusted.

The downside is the price. CPO 228s go for $600 and a new 2022 goes for what, $400? You may find a 228 used in the for sale section but I don't think they will go much cheaper than $550.

While I have the .40, it is my EDC. I have that much confidence in the weapon.

Yeah I'm thinking about it. Not sure about a 9 or 40 :/
Anybody go to oak tree for a meet and shoot?
