Just an update ... I sold my ruger SR9 and instead of getting the SR40c for compact size I ended up going with a Kimber Pro Carry II ... Figured it would be easier to have two .45 acp and two 1911 so I can save on bulk ammo and just buying one size

the slide is supposedly a teeny bit thicker on the 40 in reality.Per Ruger all the SR series (SR9, SR9C, SR40 and SR40C) have the same witdh 1.27".
