I have had the love hate relationship with Glock myself over the last 25 years, but like that comfortable old t shirt I keep coming back to it.

Used to feel the same way... until I put a little dab of marine grease on the end of the trigger bar.
Took all but a little of the sponge out of the primary pull, and the re-set trigger breaks line an icicle.Comment

I hate Glocks too, except for G34, 35, 26, 27, 29, 20, 21, 17, and 19, they're ok.DiaHero Foundation - helping people manage diabetes. Sending diabetes supplies to Ukraine now, any help is appreciated.

Same here.
Funny, I read this because Im getting yet ANOTHER Glock.
I've had four.
What i loved was the reliability, and hated was the trigger.
Yet, my fascination with their simplicity and reliability continues.
This time, no home mods. Trigger goes the Vanek.Comment

Yep. I never even wanted to hold one until a couple years ago. I bought a G19 and another G19. I am now looking at picking up a G17. The are rock solid. The G19 has become one of, if not my favorite handgun. Easy to clean, take apart, accurate and it has gone bang every time I have pulled the trigger. I have put around 7,000 rounds through one without a single failure of any kind. I have another that I just picked up in the last 2 months. I have put about 800 rounds through this one and again not a single problem. I just sold my HK USP and that is the only other gun that I have owned that was just as reliable. That is also one rock solid gun.sigpicComment

G17 is my hell and back pistol. I'd take it over any and I do mean ANY pistol in the world bare none. What makes a pistol great? Reliability. Nothing else matters. Not caliber, not capacity (although glock wins that's race), not material. If it goes bang every time then its doing its job and I could not ask for anything more.Comment

I have owned 9mms, 40cals, and 10mm Glocks in various configurations. Most are sold, but a subcompact 9 and a FS 10mm.. Heck, I have sold 50ae's etc so even selling is not unique to the Glocks.
But with 3k in each in my 1911's 45's; a ton of work to get my 1911 9mm to function every time... (Yes, they out paper a Glock every time) And a bunch of other really fine firearms that I enjoy shooting better than the inexpensive Glocks.. It still upsets me that...........My Glock 10mm goes with me in the woods every time (15 rounds in California
) Damn, I hate that the least expensive I own is my go to......

If Hi Point made a 10mm, I'd carry that into the woods.sigpic
Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.
