One curious thing that happens with my pistol- if I slam (not hard, but a solid feed) a mag in when slide locked, the slide autoMagically releases. I've read that this is normal for M&P's on some forums, and on others it isn't. If I just push it in, it's fine. Makes reloading much faster though! Does yours do this as well?

Auto-forwarding is a common "feature" that almost all users notice with the M&P... some love it, some hate it... (it happens with other makes/models of pistol as well)

If you perform your reload and slap the magazine home at about a 45-deg angle, you can get it to auto-forward "almost" every time. It happens on both my M&P9 FS as well as my C.
