Insight or streamlight?

Between the choices listed I say TLR-1s. Good lumens, nice features and a pretty cheap price.

But I do love my x300. I've beat that thing around for 4+ years and it just keeps on ticking.

I have a tlr1-s and its more than good. Streamlight is legit.

No real experience with insight but my tlr-3 had over 5k rounds (4k were various centerfire rifles) and zero malfunctions. Hope this helps any.

Insight M3's are cheap and they run good, just like Glocks.

I vote insight they are cheap and get the job done.

The cheap M3's are xenon technology (less bright [still adequate], orange tint, bulbs will need to be replaced). The newer ones use LED and have 125-150 lumen max output. They're a little over $100. You can upgrade the older model to LED buy purchasing an LED replacement bezel.

BTW I saw someone in the parts/accessories marketplace earlier today selling an older model for $45.

I havent had any issues with the (3) insights. one has a soft glow bulb which is great for inside the home.

I test drove the lightguard but I didn't like it.. Changes your grip

If you use the remote switch for the M3/M6X or the TLR-1 (I don't know if the Streamlight version fits any other series), they do the same. I have both types mounted on Glocks, as well as the CTC Lightguard on my carry G19.

I prefer the remote in preference to having to reach with either my trigger finger or support hand to turn the light on/off. I can work with the small grip adjustment.

peterrabbits, your poll lacked the "both/either of the above" option - that's the one I would have voted for. Both the Insight or Streamlight are good gear.
