If it's true what they said about CA prices on it being high, then that's a bonus. Buy it in SC, then when or IF you move back to CA you can sell it for more than you bought it for.

I personally would look into a Colt, Kimber, S&W, Sig ...anything but Ruger.

I have heard that the quality with Kimber is very or miss and I think I will be avoiding Kimber

Well.....one of my best bud used to work at Ruger, the stories he told us pretty much warned/scared us all away from purchasing their products.

It's just a personal opinion.
