Wilson Combat is smart enough so of course they'll put their logo on their most successful and prettiest grip pattern. People who don't know, like you, are OK. People who recognize it, like me, just wonder.

For the folks that want the Starburst grips without the Wilson logo, contact Larry Davidson. I'm not sure if he still makes grips for Wilson Combat but I know he used to a few years ago.

Ahrends won't fit your Springfield? Since when? I have Ahrends on most of my 1911s including several Springfields. What's so different about yours?
            This is curious to me.

While Wilson Combat obviously makes their own 1911's, they almost certainly do a larger portion of their business by selling parts to be put on other 1911's. They're at least as much of a parts manufacturer as they are a 1911 manufacturer. I don't see anything weird with having WC logo grips on a different brand's 1911, as all that signifies to me is that the grips are a WC product.

If I saw a Lone Wolf logo on the barrel of a Glock, I wouldn't assume that the entire gun was LW custom made even though you can basically do that.

I have grips from VZ, Strike Industries and JS Gungrips on my 1911s. I like them all, but the JS Gungrips are probably my favorite.

Exotic Grips by Esmeralda. Bought a pair of ivory wood w/Celtic crosses for my cc pistola. Custom and fit/finish is outstanding.

Sent with 2 cans & a long string.

I misread the email. Ahrends doesnt have the dymondwood grip in blue anymore. just silver and black.
