    Grips

Where can I go to get a nice custom grip for the Springfield 1911.

I contacted ahrendsgrips.com and they didn't have any that would fit the springfield.

    Thanks

Is there anything special about your Springfield? I'm surprised Ahrends won't fit your gun. Aside from different sizes (Government, Officer, etc.), 1911 grips should be universal.

Someone just mentioned www.gungrips.net. They have a section for 1911's and clones AND can make you custom ones.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to say VZ, too. I have the etc frags on my ria 1911, and they feel and look great.

I truly don't understand when people are doing this, and sincerely curious... why would you want WC with their logo medallion on a Springfield? Wouldn't that be like putting Ford badges on a Dodge?

This is true.. However, I don't care so much about branding on my pistols because people really don't even see it other than at the range, of course. Plus lots of people put WC parts in their non-wc pistols, so IMO WC logo'd grips are appropriate on any 1911.

edit: looking at the pic that logo does look kinda awkward on there lol... Maybe it's just because you said something about it.

If you didn't know that was the Wilson Combat logo (I didn't) it just looks like a cool badge there. Doesn't look awkward to me.
