Yes its good stuff. Tacky and stays where you put it without running all over or cooking off prematurely. I bought the light and medium at the same time. Light has been used much more frequently.

Okay, I'll ask the dumb question.

How does this compare to Tetra (basically white lithium grease). I use Tetra / lithium grease on slides of my semi-auto pistolas. Works well.

I use medium and it works very well. I have about four small containers of the stuff from various USPSA matches (goodies in the shooter's packet). Some of the Slide Glide is years old. A little does go a long ways.

I used tetra, and still do on occasion and I always go back to slide glide.
On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

I use the thinnest viscosity slide glide and it has worked ok on my fullsize 1911, but it made my shotgun jam horribly. I like it on my revolvers and bolt guns more than anything.

It also made my 3" 1911 jam

                Cute cat!

I previously Tetra before I switched to SG. With Tetra, I found that it would get "cakey" after a single shooting session. Cakey meaning it would lump up but rather small thin discs of gunk.

SG sticks much better (for me). I used it on my Sig for Stan's Academy of St. Crispian pistol 1 and 2 course. And even thought it was super hot and super dusty (a couple dust funnels kicked up),the Sig never jammed up. I even shot it the next day without cleaning it.

Heavy works well on my Sigs.
