    Glock 34 or 35

i mostly likely shoot 9mm ammo at range because it is cheaper, and maybe use .40 for home defense.

i heard that i can replace barrel on a Glock 35 to shoot 9mm ammo.
the question is that whether affect the accuracy?

    the accuracy of glock35 w/ replaced 9mm barrel = Glock34 ?

so, Glock 34 or 35? which one is better for me?

    any suggestions..

    thanks

The Glock 35 in .40 is a great home defense weapon. It is powerful, reliable and accurate. Fun to shoot as well.

I have a Glock 35 with a 9MM lonewolf conversion barrel. It runs 100%. I plink with the 9MM and save some range dollars.

While the Frames for both the 34 and 35 are identical, they do have slightly different EJECTORS. It points straight on the G35 (.40) and it is very slighty bent to the right on the G34 (9MM) frame.

What lonewolf does on the 9MM conversion barrel (LWD 359N) is offset the bore to the left to accomodate the EJECTOR function. Still just as accurate and reliable. They cost $109.99 and are well worth it: You will also have to run 9MM mags (Glock 17 mags)

Lone Wolf Arms is the largest manufacturer of aftermarket parts for Glocks. We also have M&P Shield, Beretta/Taurus, and Browning Hi-Power parts.

Here is the 9MM barrel. (mine was extended; don't know if they still offer this)

    And the Stock .40 barrel.

++ on OceanBob's recommendation. I run the 40-9 Lonewolf conversion on my G23 and it's been flawless.

Best part is for $110 + mags I have a new gun!

        +2.

Having owned both, you can't go wrong with either. However, a 35 with a conversion barrel is a no brainier.

        Good luck!

If your on the fence, buy the 35 and you can always add the 9mm barrel. Not an option the other way around.

            Glock 35 > Glock 34.

Like OceanBob pointed out, a simple barrel change (LW barrel) and mag swap and you've got a Glock 34 in the same package.

I'll go against the grain here and say you're fine with just a G34. I've already been through the whole barrel swap and caliber conversion route and at the end of the day, I didn't like taking apart my gun at the range and swapping barrels so much. I say just save the money. You'll shoot more often too; more trigger time is good.

Also, if you shoot mostly 9mm at the range, you should probably just stick to 9mm for home defense too. Train with what you're going to defend yourself with. With modern defense rounds, you'll do just fine.

I guess I will be the no brainer. I wanted a gun to run USPSA Production, I don't shoot 40, and have other guns for HD, so I went with a 34. Also, that way I can modify it for competition and not worry about any potential legal issues.

no brainer to go .40 w/later conversion, plus SHTF BOB factor.

Have the other barrel in you gun BOB for more ammo options.

The barrel swapping is the part that gets you? It takes 20 seconds if you're really slow. That's what? half a magazine's worth of shooting time you're losing?

Some believe defense guns should not have any trigger work done to them, that it might be used against you if you were put on trial for defending yourself.

And as the other question was answered, 9mm works great for production class. If I shot the gun in another class, then 40 or 45 is preferable due to making major power factor.

You could shoot a 35 if two different classes and use the 9mm barrel in Production and 40 in Limited 10. I chose to purchase a Gen 4 21 to be used in Limited 10 instead. I prefer 45 over 40 and have other guns in 45 already.

Just get the 34. My 40-9 conversion barrel for my 35 had a lot of failure to eject. It was super accurate, but unreliable.
