I'm pretty damn stocked on .40 so far. I will admit though that the .357 sig conversion is something I "want" and not something I "need" as for the g31 purchase, if I spent my moneys like that id never finish my ar project

Yes I do. I have both types of mags for a G23 and they are different. Different follower and the cross section of the mag tube is different.

      Both factory barrels.

I experienced failure to feed correctly with the .357 barrel and the .40 mags in my G23. Picked up a few .357 mags and the problem went away.

Personally, I'd skip the conversion barrel and use the money towards a new gun chambered in .357 MAGNUM. Full power magnum rounds are a lot more fun to shoot IMO.

A conversion barrel for the .357Sig round (the topic of this thread and a semi-auto pistol round) and a gun chambered for the .357 Rem Mag round (mostly found in revolvers) really aren't related and shouldn't be compared.

.357 Sig is a fun round to shoot. Flat trajectory, recoil is no issue, and my G22 fed it perfectly into a factory G31 barrel using the .40 magazines.

It's loud enough to get some extra attention at the range, and at night, the flash will definitely get attention. All part of the fun!
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

I'd skip out. I had a P226 with both a 40S&W and 357SIG. While I liked shooting 357SIG more, it wasn't really worth the extra cost. I did shoot 357SIG better than 40S&W though.

Dont have one, never shot one. BUT the reloading data i get frome my books are pretty impressive and i definently want one. Too bad they stopped making the conversion kit for the SP2022

I apologize. Based on the title of this thread, I thought the OP's original question was ".357 sig conversion. should i get it?"

My answer was "no", followed by an alternative choice and my rationale behind it. Next time I will just say "no" to stick to the topic of the thread.

I want one but the price of ammo is similar to .357 Magnum, which I already own and it hurts at ~$25/50. I'd love to get into reloading but it takes awhile after purchasing the hardware to make it financially beneficial. Wish I had the disposable income I had four years ago.
