Springfield XD40

The grip safety is totally stock on my gun. The finish is worn off from being handled so much and from cleaning. The take down lever is also worn as is the slide stop. I did modify my mom's grip safety on her XD. I TIG welded some material to the center of it so that it is less curved. Her hand just did not activate it very well. The safety still works for herself and me, but just has a different shape.

My frame has slight wear to the texture. It looks normal, but feels smoother than a new XD. The other non stainless parts also have had a good portion of the black finish worn off. The stainless has light scratches from the holster. Overall, my gun still looks great and doesn't really appear to have a great deal of use. I do try to take care of it, but I don't treat it like a collectors item either.
