Ive found a 1911 colt that is series 70 (1974) can I buy this from out of state and have it shipped to my ffl? also were can i type in a serial number of said weapon and get the dates, ect for it? thank you.

Since it's off-roster either you or the handgun needs to be roster-exempt. Does your local FFL do single-shot exemptions, or is there one you'd be willing to drive to and have it made SSE? It's too new to be C&R (must be 50 years old OR named on the C&R list).

Keep in mind though that it is not on the roster.
You or the gun would need to be roster exempt.
Edit, Red typed faster than I did.Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
