    Beretta M9A1 & 92A1

I keep looking for an M9A1, I went to a local store that said they had it. It turned out to be a 92A1. The guy at the store told me that the box says
M9A1 and that the actual M9A1 is probably not on the roster. Can someone clear this up for me? Can I get an actual M9A1 in California or is the 92A1 the only option? Also, does the M9A1 have the "U.S." markings on it like the M9?

It's the opposite, 92A1 is NOT on the roster, but M9A1 IS on the roster.

Can you tell me what the markings say on the one you have in stock? Maybe im just confused here.
On the M9 it says "U.S. M9 Beretta" Does the A1 not say "U.S. M9A1 Beretta"? The only ones I have seen say 92A1.
This gun below is advertised as an M9A1, but to me this is just a 92A1 because of the markings:

I purchased a 92A1, which differs from the 92FS M9 about 2 weeks ago (have yet for it to make to the shop though). Here are all the models, one should familiarize with all the models prior to purchase.

              *92FS
              *92A1
              *92FS Type M9
              *92 M9 Commercial
              *90-Two Type-F

I did lot's of research to make sure I got the exact model I wanted as there are differences. Here is the link to Berretta.

I'll try to find a video put out my Berretta that I found helpful as well.

Isn't a 92A1 a civilian version of the M9A1? Is it not possible to get one that is marked M9A1?

If my information is correct (I'm not a expert with regards to the 92 series handguns) the A1 is there newer gun as of 2010 and some added features that I really wanted. The M9A1 is the M9 with "some" of the newer 2010 features, but lacking the 17 rounds magazines, the quick connect feature as well as a few other features, as I'm going off my memory.

                    Hope this helps,

hey yzernie, $625 is a great price. I think that is the best 92fs variant.

These are the pics of the gun I have in stock. 15rd mags have been substituted with 10rd mags or I can do the 15rd mag rebuild kits...buyer's choice.

Do any of the new 92 pistols come with all steel parts? If so, which model and are they on the roster?
