I like the MC Operator and you got a smoking deal with all those extras I like the green frame/black slide on them.

Personally I'm not a big fan of solid hard-chromed pistols, I don't like the glare off the slide. I prefer the slides to be dark.
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
"What we get away with isn't usually the same as what's good for us"
"An extended slide stop is the second most useless part you can put on a 1911"

"While Ruger DA revolvers may be built like a tank, they have the aesthetics of one also,
although I suppose there are a few tanks which I owe an apology to for that remark"

Yes eventually. I just want to go and shoot it already.

I miss her already. Great shooter that never gave me a problem. At least I get my grandpa's ww2 bring back remington rand 1911 back from pawn. Had some hard times in the family lately and needed the cash to get it back. Enjoy it, she was my baby.

Congrats. I'll have to get my 1911 out of jail this weekend too. Can't wait.

1911s suck. They are pure garbage. They don't function, they need lots of work right out of the box, and cost too much. At least that's what I hear. (anyone that knows me knows I have lots of 1911s)
I sold my MC Operator earlier this year. Shot it once, (500 rounds in a day) and then acquired a Rock Island full rail 2011. Since I already had a customized S&W half-rail and the new RIA full rail, I didn't need a 3rd railed 1911. Sold it for $1200.
Shoot yours a bunch before modifying. It may not need anything other than pure cosmetics to suit your tastes. If your mods will be purely cosmetic, then do it anyway! We all do.
Enjoy it when you get it.
