New 1911

I just got another 1911 today. I saw it in the marketplace and had to have it. It's an MC Operator with all the original stuff, 5 8-round Chip McCormick mags, 1 10-round Chip McCormick mag, 10-8 rear sight, Streamlight M3 tac light, and a kaluban cloak holster custom made to carry with the light. I got it all for $1000, what do you think? Good deal? I eventually want to send it to SACS to do some custom work, but I just want to shoot it already. It's going to be a long 10 days days. Here's a picture of the gun, and some of what I want it to look like after I send it in for work.

Sounds like a fair deal...That pic is clearly pre the 8-10 sights and holster wear the seller mentions.

If you are going to shoot it for a while and then have some work done down the road it seems like the way to go...

There was hardly any holster wear at all on it, I was expecting alot more.

Great deal. But it's gonna cost about $4,000 to Heirloom Precision to get the one shown in the pics. And a long wait.

Im not going to spend that much, just send it to SACS for refinishing, checkering, and just a few other things.
