Some us are old and owned Glocks before the mag restrictions were in place.

OH, sure. I forget that most people didn't wait till they were 60 to start having fun with this stuff, like I did!

I have both G36 & G29. Both are easy to conceal.
You should shoot both before you buy.
My son get his little finger pinched between the mag & frame
on the G36. No probs. with the G29.
          Just my 2cts.
          Placement is Power*****Bikes & Bullets

yeah, I'd like to have one, but 10mm is more than double the cost per round as 9mm and almost double the cost of 40.

            I couldn't stand having a gun I couldn't afford to shoot a lot! LOL

Locosway, if you're off the beaten path with the family then are you considering compact models as well as sub compact? I realize that CCW is the thread title but everything should stay on the table in my humble..

How do you feel about the 40SW caliber?

For me, concealability is more about a quality dedicated belt, quality holster and appropriate apparel than weapon type.

My two cents: Use a handgun that you already own (and are proficient) with and buy proper CCW gear.

I don't care for the .40. I would carry/shoot it if I had to, but it's not a choice I would make if there was other calibers available. To me it's a round that serves little purpose, and while it does work as well, it's just pointless.

For EDC why not just carry the G19? Closest to your primary G17 and real-deal 10mm is 'spensive. In the backcountry a .45acp isn't going to have the energy to take down anything a good 9mm+P can't, so you're back to 10mm or e.g. .41mag.

$1 a round, but I also reload 10mm. Which is why the G29 was alluring, as the G20 is quite a handful when it comes to size.
