    SSE Masterpiece Arms

I have a deposit on a masterpiece arms MAC 10 copy. The gun has a BB and welded barrel cover/brake. I'm hearing gun shop FUD that I can't put the stock mag release on after purchase. I've read the SSE sticky and it sounds like returning the gun to stock (minus the threaded barrel) is GTG. I have a few Sten mags that I can mod to fit the Masterpiece.
    Thanks,
    Peter

You can put the OG mag release back in.

I'm not too sure if I would "mod" a different magazine that could hold more then 10 rounds to fit this gun. That could be considered "manufacturing" and is a no no.
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I've had the mags since the early 1990's.

Mac 10 and clones are .45 ACP and use M3 grease gun mags. Sten mags are for 9mm. Better get your story straight.

So long as it doesn't lose its original functionality, i think it's good to go.

So what if he wants to decorate his magazines with an extra witness hole?

So what if that witness hole allows the mag-catch of a new gun to latch onto it? It's still a mag for the original gun.

Sorry, they are 9mm mags. No story to get straight. I went through a sten phase when the parts kits and mags were cheap. Never built one up, and sold off all the parts but the mags.

So long as it will still function in the original gun I agree with you.

"I" would still not do it though.

That's just me though. I like to error on the side of caution.
