Mike- you made an excellent choice! After FMJ break in just try the JHP ammo that you will want to use and make sure it feeds well. Remington Golden Sabers worked well but I had some issues wih Hornady Critical Defense. But it's an awesome gun and you will like it. SA has great customer service if you do have an issue.

I had an opportunity to handle an EMP... I'm a tall thin guy and my hands match my physique. I'm not a fan of guns my whole hand can't fit on, I gotta have all four fingers wrapped around it or it's just weird. The EMP had that same weirdness, plus it just felt really top heavy. Does anyone else have this issue? I wanted to like it lol

Here's my impulse buy:


I walked in a couple months ago to buy a handgun, and this pretty lady caught my eye. Added the quad rail and 5-position foregrip. After a LONG wait (about a month and a half), I took her shooting, and she's definitely a keeper! M&P15 Sport. It's the budget model, and was worth every penny, so far as I can tell.

I've felt zero remorse... but this does leave me without a pistol... I am now in the market for a .22 handgun, as I would love something I can afford to shoot, as often as I'd like. $20/500 rounds!? That means the gun will almost pay for itself. I've been looking at the Walther P22 and M&P 22, but like the feel of the Walther better. I don't mean to hi-jack a thread, but if anyone has any experience with these, or recommendations for another, I'd be most appreciative.

Nice Sport you got there. I'd also recommend the Ruger SR 22 pistol. Very fine 22 plinker and it is much better than the Walther.
