To most new shooters it is just another gun. Honestly, untill I became a decent shooter it was nothing special. If you can shoot little groups with a Glock, a 1911 becomes special.

Now to some people it is pride of ownership. Granted I think there are better combat pistols out there, but I have yet to find a better range gun than a 1911.

1911 sucks big time. That's why I have 4 now and also have a TRP stainless in jail till the 14th. 2nd TRP.

1911's are just the business, period. Besides that, since living in PRK means that you're limited to 10 rounds, a 1911 simply makes sense. Why own a double-stack when you cannot carry the designated capacity?
