It was actually based on the Walther P88 Compact. This was the Tisas Zigana 'Sport' called a 'Regent' SP2 in the US for some odd reason. Maybe they thought 'Tisas Zigana' sounded too Ottoman Empire-ish.

The Tisas PX9 is a different gun from them, based on the P226.

If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?

As far as I know the only thing the PX9 has in common with the P226 is the magazine. The PX9 is a striker fire pistol, while the P226 is hammer fired.

                  Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Why did they put "tactical" on the slide? Looks like something you'd find on a cheap Chinese air soft pistol

Correct - Tisas is kind of an odd duck, lika a Taurus of the Middle East, where they do a lot of 'hybrid' stuff to facilitate less proprietary manufacturing, like using 226 magazines. They borrow a lot of their designs directly from other guns. Seems to be comprised of 3 different guns.

Because as is often said, 'tactical' sells just as well as 'boobs'.

Probably going after the "mall Ninja" crowd.

...that like to dress up as racoons and other anthropomorphic cartoonish furry outfits for sexualized cosplay events with guns.
