    Glocks being discontinued

This image is making the rounds on social media. Almost all of the gun pages I follow are sharing this.

All double stack glocks being discontinued to be replaced with "V" models. Apparently some change to the backplate to prevent switches from being installed.

Yup, I heard it too. All Gen 3, 4 and 5 models gone. Slim models will still be made. Not that it matters in California. Cause Glock pistols are very dangerous. That's what most of our Calif politicians say.

makes sense to me in the eyes of a certain type of "fudd" most of their platforms are off patent this new design allows them to claim a safer design in an attempt to shut down all the clone guns possibly with the help of government behind them

although since people are familiar with the original design i feel it will backfire on glock unless they can get governments to ban the old design due to "ease of conversion" so much for "glock perfection" but all the new generations pretty much mooted that saying

hopefully the legal challenge to the glock ban puts the stop on this nonsense. They are in such common use all over the nation, not to mention the world over.

You dont ban cars cuz someone MIGHT drink and drive.

Career politicians should be banned because they might be corrupt.

Based upon previous remarks from Glock about complying with roster requirements, that seems highly unlikely. Not impossible but unless they want to lick the boot, we won't be getting anymore Glocks here unless you are an exempt LEO.

this was under Gaston. Now let's see how the wife runs the business.

If springfield, smith and wesson, hk, Walter, sig can jump through all of the California bs to get a pistol on the roster glock can also.

It's pretty easy and simple to add LCI and MDM as all of these other brands have proven. I think this will answer the question about how important Commifornia consumer sales are to Glock versus law enforcement and military sales.

AB1127 allows for replacement pistols to be added to the roster without having to go through all the regular hoops if the problem is "fixed" from what I've read and heard. This could potentially mean Glock V's on roster, but if they're releasing them all as non-MOS and that's all that gets added to the roster that would be kind of crappy. Time will tell.

Agreed. Glocks have always sold well here even though all we get are massively outdated G3s. The clones are selling well, the Shadow Systems and I just bought the Derya DY9, a G5 clone for under $300.
