The 2011 is an evolution of the 1911, in particular substantially increased magazine capacity. But 9 mm 1911s are available with 9-round magazines in CA, which means the P4 (in California configuration) only nets one additional round.

And I think--but I'm not certain--you were pointing out other double stack pistols are also limited to 10 rounds in Commiefornia (e.g., Glock 19, Beretta 92, CZ-75).

      Thank you, Staccato!
Hahah oh ya, they should have been dumping the off roster Staccatos once it was announced. And yes THANKS Staccato, you saved us thousands.

Remember he is a reviewer that can purchase any pistol available on the market. For people in CA, don't have that option so our options are limited and should be compared to what is available on the stupid roster.

A post from a different site, but appears its a known issue and has been resolved. Hopefully.

"If so, this is a very common problem that has been happening on a lot of the original batches of HD's that staccato produced. I just sent mine back to staccato for a warranty claim to get this issue fixed. They will take in your HD to blend your thumb safeties and backend which will correct the issue."
