    Gen 3 G 19 Trigger mods?

All, I recently started back into IDPA and am loving it. My main pistol is a (gasp) Sig 320 death dealer X 5 Legion.

I take a G 19 with an optic as a backup, and it's also on my CCW. It's presently bone stock except for a little plug deal I put in the backstrap and of course irons and the red dot. The trigger isn't terrible but is pretty Glockish compared to the Legion.

What trigger is everyone using for carry/light competition? I know there are many flavors, but when I started digging in, for example, I think the Timney flavor isn't suitable for carry.

    Thanks all.

Swap the Disconnector on G-19 will bring to 4#-3.5# trigger pull, the trigger creep still there thou. Ebay is the good source for Glock Disconnector, many to choose.

How often do you carry the Glock? My G19 is on my permit and it's stock except for red dot. I don't monkey with my carry guns as reliability is a major factor for me. Maybe just mod the 320?

Sounds like Johnny Glocks is hard to beat.

I ran across this video yesterday:

Pretty affordable & it sounds like this guy puts a lot of work into his product. I ordered two-one for my G42 & one for my G22. Use "SPN" for a discount.

As the best Glock upgrade, Overwatch Precision's DAT Trigger is the perfect Glock OEM replacement for a clean, crisp break that feels good on the finger.

For a carry gun, I would just change the disconnector if currently too heavy... And I would use the Glock OEM lower weight disconnector.

Ive put OEM gen 5 disconnectors in older gen’s and it lightens it up just enough for noticeable improvement.

Also changed to the stock g17 smooth trigger shoe, i hate the ridged g19 triggers.

For a carry gun, I would change nothing other than putting in a factory glock - connector.

I agree with is if you are going to mod the trigger. Massad Ayoob has mentioned that in a SD situation a lawyer for the perp may use the fact the gun was modified against you.

Additionally, some IA's will not allow modified guns to be listed on your permit. It would be a good idea to check on this before doing any mods.

Both of my carry guns are bone stock, except for fiber optic front sights. I believe it's best to train well, rather than rely on a modification for a carry gun.

Massad Ayoob has been peddling this fantasy for years without any proof. It is still a fantasy.

I installed a zed (?) minus connector in the g27. For me, that's all that it needed to improve the trigger pull.
