you're being too logical for this thread. I think most of us noticed the Glocks because they were in Scarlet's hands.

That's what bothered me too. Not only does she use sub compacts, if you notice when she is running from the hulk, you can see her struggle to holster them. Also somebody needs to show her how to hold a gun. Maria Hill and Nick Fury know how to..

Uhmmm... you know it's a movie, right? And they're actually using non-working models - not REAL guns? And they're probably Brady supporting liberal anti's as actors?

                  It's called "product placement".

However, keeping up with the fun, I read an article that SC pistols are actually really pretty accurate due to the recoil spring.

Whatever else you can say about Glock, the company has have some savvy marketing people working for it. They are very proactive at getting their product into movies and TV. There is a rumor that Tommy Lee Jones' line about the "nickle-plated sissy pistol" was bought and paid for.

Guns are a competitive business and, like it or not, Hollywood helps shape people's preferences.

My favorite part of the movie was when Thor had to summon lightning to kill the Chitauri while Scarlett Johansson was able to kill them with her Glock 26's. She must have been using those evil hollow points that I hear about on the news.
