For those with cz's already what do you use for lube? On my sig 1911 I used grease and same with my old sig p226

Seriously.....they all work. People need to stop all this magic snake oil stuff about lubes.

It's funny YOU say that. Because I picked up my RIA 9mm Tactical 1911 on Tuesday after having looked high and low for an SP01 without luck (at the time, I ended up finding one at guns direct and buying it 5 days after I started the DROS on the RIA)

So I "settled" for a 9mm 1911 at the time, and within a week I did right by the calguns way and "got them both".

My RIA? 410 rounds through her in 48 hours, with ZERO malfunctions so far. So I suggest you do right by calguns too ... And get them both

I agree, lube is lube and they all work. But I am a big fan of how easily frog lubed guns clean. And that it's minty fresh and not toxic smelling like other cleaners.

Did my AR run any better on frog lube VS the Mobil 1 I was feeding her? Nope. But she smelled better and was way easier to lean afterwards.

A couple month ago, I went into the lgs looking for my first gun, which I decided was going to be a SP-01, but came out with a Kimber target 9mm 1911 since they didn't have one. A month later, I found a SP-01 and Dros'ed it. Now I've got them both. They both are great shooters. Best of both worlds.

I have become a grease guy myself in the past 6 months. Hated all the oil disappearing on me. I can put a light coating of grease on all rubbing parts with a q-tip and it will stay there for years if left. A can of lithium grease from an auto parts store cost $5 and will last me 10 lifetimes. Only down side is it tends to hold dirt more if you glop it on. That's why I use a q-tip to just lightly rub a little on.

I've recently switched to Slide Glide after using froglube, tetra, CLP, EWL 2000 and a whole host of others.

Congrats, a CZ75B was my first gun purchase almost a year ago. I love it so much I just put a deposit on a CZ97B, the 45acp big brother to my 75B, after renting the 97B (and a few other .45's for comparison) at my local gun range. I can't DROS it for another couple of days though. This will be a loooooonnnngggg two weeks.

I use cheap hoppes gun oil that came with a cleaning kit. It's all the same if you clean after you shoot a couple hundred rounds.

Even motor oil will work. The difference is really in how much of a mess it makes when you put it on.
