Two more 1911 9mm for California, don't forget add on 11%Tax for Newsom's corruption fund.

The price of the Kimber Custom LW Shadow Ghost 9mm is optics ready and isn't too bad at around $800. But then add the sales tax, FFL transfer fee, DROS, and BS 11% tax, you're at $1100 OTD ?

The Rapide Dawn 9mm is double the price but fancy looking.

I guess I'm curious too. How did Kimber get additional 1911's on the roster?
Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.

I'm a bit surprised they didn't just do the double stack 9mm 1911. That's what's hot right now on the market. Dudes are paying an arm and a leg for a double stack 1911 in 9mm.

I think this is the start of many. Too much money to not go after in Cali.

Stainless frame is more expensive to make, and commands a higher price. Both look decent. Sometimes the street price can be lower than list.. Kimbes usually go on sale a couple of times per year. It's good to see more 1911 in 9mm available too. I think a commander model would sell very well, especially in 9mm.
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

I haven't seen one, but probably the MDM is like the system Browning uses on its 1911-22's as its very simple and only requires a different trigger and mag release. Basicall the trigger has a notch in the the trigger bar and the mag release is machined so when a mag is out it springs farther into the gun than normal and into the slot in the trigger bar, locking up the trigger. Simple and probably reversable with a standard mag catch. I would hope this is how they did it unless Browning has a patent on that.

I'm really interested in that LW Shadow Ghost 9mm.

Why would they take the time to get a limited run gun on the roster?

                              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
