Have you shot a red dotted pistol before?

How long have you been shooting irons? Do you plan on putting in the reps to get good with a red dot?

I am all in on the p365 platform and holosun optics. Shoot approx 15 to 20k rounds a year through my primary training gun and optic.

The eps carry, 507k, and 407k are all excellent optics. Please let me know if you have any questions.

I went with the 507k, its nice and doesn't stick out much off the sides, i did the EPS carry on my Hellcat pro and that one does stick out more on the sides.
After getting the hellcat pro i kinda wanted the P365 to be a bit bigger, So i upgraded the Slide to the spectre comp slide and got the XL grip module from gray guns. Also upgraded the sight to the night fision sights and now i love the looks but have yet to go shoot it in this configuration still.

I went with the 507K for my P365 and like it a lot. As previously mentioned it does take some practice and repetition but I found I shot it faster with time than the irons. It's been 100% reliable , this is my first experience with Holosun, my other RDS's have been Sig or Trijicon.

Between training and classes have seen more broken rmrcc vs holosun despite seeing more holosuns.

That said both make great optics

507k is a great choice. I have a 507k that cracked at approx 35k rounds (a steel fragment came back and hit it). The glass looks like a spiderweb now but I run it fine using circle reticule. With dot only I do notice the cracks. The optic has 3k+ rounds since the crack and going strong.

It sounds like you are planning to put in the dry fire reps and holster draws to make this successful.

For what it is worth now that I only shoot dot I am faster with a dot at all distances now and significantly more accurate on far distance.

Running the old school BPD test generally score 95+ from aiwb.

3 yards - 2 shots in under 1.5 seconds. Usually around 1.36 seconds from holster into 6 inch circle

5 yards - 2 shots in under 2 seconds. Usually 1.76 seconds from holster into 6 inch circle

10 yards - 2 shots, reload 2 shots in under 6 seconds. Usually 5.3 seconds from holster into 6 inch circle

20 yards - 2 shots in under 3.5 seconds. Usually 3.14 seconds from holster into 6 inch circle

Shoot me a pm if you wish I probably have a cheaper 507k for you vs online.

I edc with a circle only reticule on a 507k and love it. Fast and accurate.

No issues hitting b/c steel at 150 yards freestyle

That's the one I chose as well (507k Gr with circle dot.) I also run Eotech's on AR's so like you I found a certain familiarity with older eyes and brain. I had not actually expected to run the circle, just dot, but found I'm faster with both. I guess my eyes have to strain less.

IMO the 365 is a belly gun, up close and personal for those washroom encounters. No RDS needed.

I recently changed from a non-optic to a Holosun on mine. Optics are the way if you want to be faster and more accurate with your pistol, even if you're really really good with irons already.

Best mod you can do is practice, practice, practice.

365 is a carry pistol, i prefer irons. Keeps it compact, fits in my pocket with pocket holser. Any bigger and it would grab on my jeans. The night sights it comes with are pretty good. I need more practice with it, its my first compact pistol and the smallest gun I own.

I only have a red dot on my ruger mk3 and shooting it is a hoot. Getting the dot lined up for first shot is tricky, need lots of practice for just that.
