Ruger Max 9
@ $400 is it worth it? I can't find any calguns reviews just some stuff on youtube. It seems almost "too small" to me.1. Compared to what?
2. At what cost?
3. What hard evidence do you have?

FWIW, I like mine. Cool little pistol. You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.
Come on...what harm??

I've had mine for about a year and half. It's a great little pistol for the money, mine is off roster so I paid about double what the Cal legal ones cost now so mine can take an optic, whereas I thought the Call legal ones you have to have the slide milled if you want an optic and the CLI might be getting in the way? I have mine on my CCW and carry it periodically. My main CCW pistol is my Shield Plus PC which I like a bit better than the Max 9 but overall, the Max 9 is a solid little pistol. It's a bit small for my hands, same as the P365 so if you have meaty hands, you might find it too small but average to small hands will be great with it.NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer

Turners has them for 379 right now so seems like a no brainer to give it a shot.1. Compared to what?

I had NIB CA version Ruger Max-9, this pistol does NOT build like Ruger Mark 1-4, it make sound click click click when you shake it,Comment

You can buy a slide conversion from Ruger at Turner's for about $130 and it will come with a baseplate for an optic. Also will get rid of the LCI .$170 with a red dot optic. I bought mine for $379 but have not had a chance to get to the range yet. Even with slide conversion still cheaper than the Hellcat and P365. It is definitely a micro 9 and not a compact so for larger hands may be an issue. I took my Houge grip from my Shield and it fit my Max 9 and already it made a huge difference as far as feel.😀 1Comment

I have about 300 rounds through mine. I like it.I also have an LC380 with a 9mm slide conversion. They are nearly the same size albeit the MAX9 is slightly wider in the grip for the double stack mag. The MAX9 has a WAY better trigger and is similar in recoil to the LC9. The spare LC9 mags are much easier to carry as spares though. I've read a lot about the trigger but have not had an issue with mine. I suspect its exaggerated by poor trigger actuation.😀 1Comment

I bought one in early March. No issues here! Runs great! For the price you cant go wrong! Bought an optic ready slide from Ruger too! Buy it for that extra tax hits!😀 1Comment

I like mine, only reason I don't love it is I'm now having an issue with slide lock back every round when I shoot my +p reloads. Reloaded ball ammo cycles fine. Going to take some Gold Dots with me next time I go to the range to see if its my issue or all+p will have problems. Could be a recoil spring issue, not sure.
Accurate and fun to shoot minus the above issue.Comment
