Awesome pistol and congrats on a great find! I'm holding my breath for this to be on the cali roster!

Oh man. All my pistols are 9mm (including a 1911) but if I came across the opportunity to score one of these, I'd break my rule about only owning 9mm semis.

Congrats, Bobby. Thanks for the review and pics. The Ruger SR1911 is hard to get nationwide not only in CA.

Take a shot of 9mm to the knee cap and tell me after if you still think it's for women.

take a shot with nearly any caliber to the kneecap and ask yourself the same question.

A 9 mm may expand but .45 certainly doesn't shrink!

Personally i'd rather have the biggest hole possible when it comes to saving my family's life

We agree. Which is why my pistols will be a last resort. And since they are last resorts/back up firearms, I'm going to stick with something cheaper to shoot.

And you can always make the argument for 1 bigger. If you're going to go 9mm, you might as well go .45acp. If you're going to go .45, you might as well go 10mm or .357 mag. And since we're talking about revolver calibers, I'm pretty sure .44 and .50s make bigger holes. Ah heck why not a 7.62 Draco. Why stop there?

For me, 9mm is the cheapest caliber that will do the job I intend for it. For some people it's the .45 acp. And to those people I say live and let live.

Threadjacked by dumb, tired 9mm vs. 45 arguments.
