Cool, man! I know what is like to get a "outlawed" gun in Kali. I just put a XDm i jail myself. When you get the Ruger post some pics and a range report. Also you can just add the ambi as your locale smith. If you're in Oceanside on Mondays a good smith is there.

I love mine. About 500 rds thru, no ftf's or fte's. Nice trigger. Took me a while to get used to the sights, don't use a 6 o'clock hold. Put the ft. dot on the target. Other than that, it's a great gun. Thanks Fubar!!

These are off roster. You would have to SSE or get one used in a PPT.

Congrats - I don't have any 1911's but wish this was on roster.

Have had great luck with Ruger... and it has a really nice look...

EDIT: And a lefty - if it doesn't come with ambi - are you getting one aftermarket or does Ruger sell them?
