I dont have any of those "problems" he mentioned. Out of all my guns, my Glock is the one I would trust the most, next to my Ruger.sigpicComment

That was hilarious! I have Glocks, like 'em, and am still laughing. Some folks take things way too seriously.I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!Comment

+1, my not so humble 2 cents as well. Looks has nothing to do with how well a gun performs in a firefight. I'd pay three times the price for them. They work that well. I've owned 1911s, Berettas, H&Ks, Sigs, Walthers and more. And I have even liked some of them, a lot. Still, the Glock outshined them all when it came to a self defense weapon. Others had areas where they did well, but when it comes to a gun I would trust my life to, the Glock is king.Bob.. No disrespect here, but... Its not a fashion show. Ugly be damned, if it works, and works well, use it! Ive owned three Glocks since the late 80's. All have worked exceptionaly well. I swear by the pistol! And as stated... For the price one pays for a Glock its arguably the best pistol out there in that price range.
My humble 2 cents...
As for the videos humor, it wasn't funny. I am all for humor that pokes fun at me. But it wasn't funny...it was stupid and cheesy. Not taking about what he was saying, talking about the execution of the stuff that was supposed to be funny. The characters and his acting was just plain terrible.
As for the content, none of the points he mentioned are things that ever bothered me. I train beyond the point of exersion with my guns. To the point where I am dripping wet. Never had trouble working the slide. I have tiny girly hands and the grip works just fine for me. Never had trouble pointing in, and I do so in a fraction of section. Blink and you missed the draw and shots. I've heard people make some of these complaints before. But I just don't see it in real life.
I think he matches the description of what he thinks Glockphiles are more than any Glock guy I know. Just on the opposite end of the argument.Last edited by tacticalcity; 04-22-2012, 8:33 PM.Comment

You name the gun, there is a Kaboom photo out there of it. No gun on the planet will protect you if you choose to run bad ammo. 99.99% of kabooms get traced back to defective ammo. Has nothing to do with the brand of the gun. So as much as I would love to blame Sig, H&K, S&W, Kimber, Springfield, etc. it wasn't their fault any more than it was Glocks for idiots running dirt cheap Bubba reloads.
Keyword Search "Kaboom Gun" brings up a nice selection of Glocks, XDs, 1911s, Revolvers, you name it. And that is just one combination of keywords. Other combinations brings up more.

That guy must really hate glocks to make that youtube video. Aside from all the humor, I second all the negatives about glocks. I can't stand glocks. I've shoot a bunch of them and can't get pass how awful it feels.Rifles:
