    CZ customer service?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I was wondering what cz owners thoughts are on CZ's customer service? I sent in my gun 2 weeks ago to have some things fixed and I never got an email to say that they have received it. So I called today and was told told that it will be another 2-4 weeks before I should get my gun back. I was wondering if this is normal? I'm pretty sure they are probably busy but it would have been nice to know that they received it and that it would be a while before I get it back. What do you guys or gals think?

I have only dealt with Dan Wesson, which is a subsidiary. My experience, to be honest, was less than stellar. I still love the product, though.

      CZ-USA I think is understaffed.

Last time I checked, it took a fellow Calgun member 2 months or so to get his gun back.

OP, why did you have to send in your gun?

This was my experience too. Sent in an sp01 last Thursday, but I didn't wait 2 weeks to call and verify that they had received it-called on Tuesday to confirm.

FWIW, they will e-mail you when it ships out and provide you with a fedex tracking number so you can monitor the shipment.

GAWD! I hope it doesn't take 2 to 4 weeks! They didn't mention that when they told me to send it in

Jrara - I had my cz for about a month and shot around 200 rounds through it and I noticed the finish on the front sight was chipped and where the slide goes into the frame, the slide was getting some deep marks and grooves from hitting the dust cover. I sent in pictures to Matt at CZ and he said that it was not normal and that they would be able to fix it. The first person I actually talked to from CZ said that it was normal but I wanted a second opinion after looking at the rentals at my local range and didn't see any markings. I actually contacted Angus first since the first guy I talked to didn't really seem like he wanted to help and Angus forwarded my email to Matt who has been very helpful. I was actually supposed to receive a free front sight replacement and never got it, and this was per the first guy about a month ago. I just hope that I when I do get it back that it is completely fixed. I love the gun and it's ergonomics are second to none. BTW I have the SA in 40.

In it's "native" caliber of .40 S&W-none. It ran like a swiss watch with anything I fed it, and hit what it was aimed at.

But I bought a kadet rimfire kit for it, and it would not fire any round that was "auto-loaded" by the action. First round in the mag that was hand loaded by racking the slide would fire every time, but the next round would not. I noticed that if I put my left thumb on the back of the slide and pushed forward, then manually cocked the hammer, the round would fire.

Tried three different brands of ammo, CCI mini-mags, Wolf, and Winchester, and none would fire.

Sometimes I could feel a faint "click" with my thumb when I pushed the slide. I think the firing pin was getting hung up in it's channel in the slide. I cleaned it out with a cotton swab, but still no joy. CZ couldn't offer me a home remedy, and said "send it in with the kadet slide installed".

              Now I'm waiting 2+ weeks???

                It sucks.

Get ready to wait, and call a lot to get anything done.

meh...... I have learned through life that there is a running list of people you don't want to pizz-off; your barber, your secretary, your mechanic, and now, my gunsmith. I think I'll just wait (painfully but patiently).......

Yeah I'll have to just wait it out. I'd rather have it done right the first time. Now if I still don't have it by June, that's different.

My trigger return spring broke on my sp-01. Sent it back for repair, they paid for shipping both ways. Got it back in a week. Great CS.

CZ US! is trying their best to Adjust to being a mainstream popular firearm. You got to understand just like two years ago these guys where lucky they got more than three calls a day. Now they get thousands. CZ Factory can not meet the production demand. I worry about the quality control right now. They went from being obscure to Colt / Remington Overnight. I can remember the days of talking about CZ's on the internet and the only people who knew about the gun where Anime Fans. Rally Vincent Special Forever!

in my experience cz is good but slow and lacking in communication they gave me a time estimate and they kept it no other emails were received
but hey you dont pay to send your gun in and when it shows up you know it will be perfect again
i mean thats whats important isnt it

mossberg on the other hand took 3 months to reply to multiple emails before they sent me a replacement sling swivel

my best experience with customer service was smith and wesson they were fast responsive didnt charge you for anything and i got my gun back in 2 weeks
when i sent in my cz it took 4 or 5 weeks im not really sure kinda just forgot about it and rejoiced when it returned

ElvenSoul I totally agree with you about them growing and probably not having the staff. I've been to maybe 4 or 5 gunshows here in Cali and Vegas and saw 1 CZ f/s in Vallejo. Most gun shops don't carry or all sold out and don't know when they might receive their next batch. I wanted my cz in 9mm but knew it might be easier to find a unicorn so I got the 40.
