I had the same problem on my 226. SIG mages two different lengths on the inside tap that contacts the follower in the mag. Mine came with 12 round mags, but when doing the DROS Gun shop swapped the mags out with the CA 10 round mags. Instead of ordering the different Slide Lock Release Bar and changing it, I contacted SIG customer service and they shipped me free of charge 4 followers for the 12 round mags. this also made it easier to load the tenth round in the mag. Insert mag and look down the port as you pull slide back and see if the tap is contacting the follower in the mag. If you go to the SIG web sight and enlarge the two pictures of the Mags you will see the enlarged tap that is on the 12 round mags and then notice the 10 round mags don't have this. I have also heard that this could be due to a broken spring on the slide release lever. Good luck.
