Thompson Contender

I inherited a few guns from my grandpa after he passed. One of which was a Thompson Contender that had 4 different barrels. So this weekend I decided to take it out and give it a try. I put the .223 barrel on it. Honestly I was a tad scared to try it, but once the first shot went off, what a blast!

Nope, he didn't mess around at all.

Yeah it was pretty snappy and REALLY loud.

My dad's got one of those with the .223 barrel on it. They really are a blast to shoot, but I wouldn't say they have a lot of recoil. I'd put it somewhere around 9mm or 38spl. I like to take it out to the rifle ranges and hit stuff out around 200 yards. It turns a few heads.

Your grandpa sounds like a neat guy, and I'm glad you have something to remember him by.

Make sure your health insurance plan is in good standing before you shoot that 45-70. It might snap your wrist in 2.
