I have looked far and wide and I cannot find the front only, because I wanted to get one for my HD gun (that I also use for IDPA).

Be careful about front sight overhang, the TFO and many other fiber optic sights hang over the slide cutout on a 34,35.

Heinie Slant-Pro rear sight (all black) and a Dawson Precision fiber-optic front sight.
My friends and family disavow all knowledge of my existence, let alone my opinions.

Dawson precision sells the FO front sight only. Not the truglo TFO, but a FO sight of their own make.

My g34 came with fixed sights (gssf purchase) should I just keep them?

Of course! At least shoot the gun a bunch of times before deciding if you NEED to replace the sights!

I only have one gun that I'm convinced needs better sights ... my RIA Tactical. The front sight is pretty fat and there is barely any light showing around it in the rear notch. Both sights are black and it's really hard for my ancient eyes. A Dawson Precision FO will replace the front once I decide what height I need.

But seriously, go to some matches, and shoot the crap out of your gun before making any modifications to it. You have to figure out what works for you before just swapping parts willy nilly!

Any opinions on having fiber optic front sights on an LTC glock verses a night sight front?

                  Thanks

My opinion is that Glocks already come with perfectly good sights.

They are good. But time after time I've come to find that FO front sights give me faster sight acquisition. YMMV, but for me they make a huge difference in being able to break the shot quicker. $40 for a Dawson sight is money well spent for me.

                        Thanks
My opinion is that the Glock lights are only really bright in very low light. For me, if it is that dark I need a flashlight. If I need a flashlight, night sights aren't too advantageous. I replaced my Glock night sight in the front with a FO, and it's my office SD gun. I don't have an LTC (I live in LA), but I'm a big fan of the FO. When I was at front sight, one of the ROs commented :" I can see his front sight all the way back here". In daylight or office light they are like a neon dot - impossible to miss even in peripheral vision.

I've got a friend who did the truglo TFO and they look good. Best of both worlds. But he is considering putting tape over the rears for IDPA. In his mind they are distracting.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Winner winner chicken dinner. This is the way to go for USPSA. Look no further.

Or, knowing you, you could just go with a S&B.

Thanks for chiming in. When I first started shooting two years ago...I bought guns with
NS or had NS installed soon afterwards. But then I started reading and came to the same conclusion that you reached (dark, fkashlight, NS useless).

Bambam.thanks again. I bought the sight set up from Dawson that you recommended a tpyear ago for my G34. It seriously feels like cheating. Probably order some front fiber optics for my G19 and G17 tomorrow.

So it seems like blacked out rear sights and a fiber optic front are the way to go. On top of being my range/competition gun my G34 will also serve duty as a nightstand home defense gun. I will be putting either a TLR1 or an X300 on the front for this...will the blacked out rear and FO front still work well in a dark environment with a gun mounted flashlight?

You will need just a few more things to compete, a good belt (Wilderness Tactical Original Instructor), good holser (BladeTech), extra mag pouches (Blade Tech singles), extra mags (6 is good for production) and if you have any money left over, get a set of electric ears (Peltor Tac 6 about $55 on Amazon, don't forget the CalGuns Amazon link).
