I paid $400 (Or rather $300 and a used piano worth about 100) for my Glock 19, it was used but in perfect condition, had only been used once.

I would not pay more than $500 for a Glock. Used Glocks can be found from many sources, many in great condition for very good prices.

Awesome. Reconditioned Glocks are great. Can't go wrong, I say.

                can't beat it.
                especially around here (fresno area)
gun stores seem to charge a good 15-20% above the going rate around here...
guess you can do that when you dont have much competition.

I see them in Shotgun News all the time. The other thing you can do is buy a used Glock and send it back to the factory for reconditioning - they will replace springs and other minor parts to bring it up to spec, if anything is worn or damaged. Be aware that they may charge for this service, however. I know that when I did this long time ago, they did NOT charge me.

The basic Glock 19 is a well balanced and good handling pistol...still one of my favorites. The recoil is mild. It jumps a little more than the 17, but a lot less than a full size 45. I think the compensator ports are unnecessary and compromise this great basic design.

I bought the recond. 23, the new 36 & 26 from the Glock Doctor in AZ. His prices have consistantly been lower than anyone else I could find around here. He wasn't at the last Crossroads show though, so I'm afraid the anti-gun hostility here has scared him away. Who knows? Maybe I'll see him next show.
