    Either way, buy the Python and shoot the hell out of it. Nothing better then shooting a Python, fantastic wheel gun. Far as I know, Colt did not make many .38 Pythons, all had 8 inch barrels. I flat love my 4 inch, favorite gun for sure.

            that python is NOT a deal, its a total steal. 1k for what looks like a barely used python? i wish i knew the guy selling it, i would take it off his hands today for 1400.

              Buy the Python and put it away as a future investment. They are collector weapons and if it is in the shape you describe, you should buy it.

              Shooting it will lower the value. I expect Pythons to climb well over 2K in a few years.

              As for the Ruger that shoots .30 carbine...I would say NO.

              The round is too expensive and rare.

                I have a 357 Python and really love the action.
                As for the Blackhawk, I have never had any major problems with empties hanging up in the chambers just keep them clean.
                I shoot mine, 30 carbine ammo is about 24-30 a box of FMJ.
