it has to be the ammo, I assume. I bought some aguilla ammo and I had 6 or 7 FTFire through my .40 sig. All those primers were struck and needed a double tap...and this is why I love DA guns for

first off, the gun had 1 ftfeed...round was just nose dived...in the middle of the mag maybe the 4th or 5th from the 85ds that i fired

and towards the end i got about 4-5 misfires????

the ftfeed im not too concerned about cus its very rare that it happens and i am shooting molly coated reloads, on fmj federal champions, no problems

the one thing that im concerned about is the MISFIRES...the gun would click...but no bang...rack the slide round exits, gun cycles again, then i put the same round that misfired in the gun and it fires...i guess my question is, what may/can cause these problems

keep in mind i did NOT clean the gun at all or lube it, to test how far it can go with out any issues...im guessing only about 400rds, manual says no clean/strip until every 1200-1500rds (iirc)

          any ideas?????

          thanks

if i cant resolve the issue myself ill go ahead and do that...but for now ill be doing a couple more tests, to at least narrow down the possibilities...which isnt really that big of a deal...this isnt my hd/sd weapon...its simply just a 9mm range plinker so i can shoot for cheap...the testing could be quite fun and may end up with some cool useful upgrades along the way

            thanks for the heads up

I've got a C9. It is ugly, top heavy, and has to much plastic. BUT...

Had about 500 rounds through it when I decided I was going to see how long it would go without a malfunction. Just over 1500 rounds later it had one.

1500 rounds without being cleaned. For a $200 weapon that isn't bad IMO.

I can't tell the difference between between a HiPoint and a Glock. So, I guess it is good value.

                  actually most people cant...honestly.

i was at the range yesterday and a buddy who is somewhat a noob really liked how the gun fired and shot (only complaint was the somewhat slippery plastic grips) time for some hogues after i told him he can get one for around $160 and that i paid $80 he was like wtf? hahahahahahaha

but i didnt make a convert out of him as he as of now has a sig 556 and he just picked up another sig this time a 2022 in 9mm = brand whore JK

Mine is the only pistol I've found that reliably fires my first batch of screw-up 9mm loads I made forever ago. I didn't quite seat the primer all the way The ridiculously long firing pin/ejector on the Hipoint fired them every time with no failures. My Sigs, Glock, Kahr and HK wouldn't fire until the second primer strike.

                          cleaned the gun today

                          took it to the range

shot about 200rds had a couple ftfs and ftes, chalkin it up to the ammo as even a misfire that i re-fed in the gun still didnt pop...its a dud

couple more range trips to finalize my verdict on this handgun
