finally got around to shooting the c9 and here are my first impressions

-purpose, well as i posted on my original c9 thread, i wanted a cheap 9mm pistol just to plink with and such...so after shooting a buddies c9, and watching/reading quite a few reviews, i decided to get one from a fellow CG'er
-fugly? beauty is in the eye of the beholder, im not saying its beautiful but it aint all that ugly imo
-heft & size, i do not have a ccw so its a moot point...and even if i did, i probably wont use this as such
-overall feel, ergo and controls, im lefty so adapting to "righty" only pistols is a given, so to me nothing feels awkward (except Sigs, for the life of me i think they hate lefty shooters) only negative issue i have is learning how to propely grip the gun with out getting a bit of "slide bite" also to note, a lot of other reviews say that the guns weight makes the recoil more acceptable, but i beg to differ, this thing has got some kick...and im only using cheapo factory ball ammo
-reliability, i was only able to shoot 110rds, the indoor range wouldnt let me shoot 150rds of my molly ball ammo, luckily i had 100rds of federal champions as well. with in the 100rds i had: 1-dud, and 1-fte ... not quite sure if it was the pistols fault...but it is what it is
-accuracy, the accompanying pics will show my groups at 5-7yds, once i got the sights somewhat "zero'd" i started to put together some decent groups...i will do more fine tuning once i get to really test this pistol for "accuracy" its my 2nd time total, ever, shooting a hi-point c9. so once i get the hang of shooting this pistol i would hope for more improvements

compared to my Kimber Raptor 2 at 7-10yds

part of todays handgun line-up

-conclusion, well 100rds is not quite enough to render the gun reliable enough for SD/HD use...so i will continue to update this post as i go along. so far i am quite happy and i dont think i can get anything better for how much i paid for this piece.
