I've used WWB and CCI/Blazer from Walmart on my CDP and it shoots fine.

The desert warrior isn't on the list. You can get a Warrior II instead though. It's a nice gun a little pricey for 1200 bucks plus. I wish the finish on one was as nice a blued gun or like a Ed Brown Gen III coating.
I never liked the Glock 21 if you want a .45acp get a USP or a 1911. The thing now a days is if you get a 1911 just go all out and save yourself the headache of upgrading latter.Comment

I had a nice springfield 1911 (that I paid an arm and a leg for) and got over it really fast....1911's are kind of over-rated IMO...Hell the glock was lighter weight and still kicked less than my 1911...
Id go with a glock 21sf but if you are set on a 1911 Id look at other makes...not a big fan of kimber as they havent been very reliable in my handsNothin says hate like a .308Comment

I already have a USP 45 and it's a great gun. I'm looking to get a second .45 though. I think a lot of people don't like the Glock 21 because they have small hands, however I have huge hands and it fits me perfect.
Good advice on getting what I want now though.sigpicComment

USP 45 vice Glock I would recommend. However, I would go for the 1911 1st and then the other guns on your list.Originally posted by tankermanI think most folks bubba their AR's because they watch too many action movies, play too many video games and don't understand how to socialize properly, so they fantasize about being 'action hero's'. Kind of like little girls playing dress-up.Originally posted by Douglas711Is everybody stocking up on guys now? Just curious some gun prices seem to be getting high.Comment

I can't believe you even had to ask this question. Forget the Glock and get the Kimber.sigpicIf you loan someone twenty dollars and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

I would go ahead and just get both.
They are two different guns, and both are practical, and fun to use.
I have a glock 21, and my hands aren't large, and I love it.
I love the 1911 platform better, as I like the trigger on a 1911.

I would (and hopefully will soon) get the 1911 first. I absolutely love the 1911.
I actually had a chance to shoot a friends new glock 21c last weekend. It was the first glock that I have ever fired. I will say that I was impressed, and will probably go with a glock 17 down the road. Still planning on going with the 1911 first though. Anyhoo thats just my 2 cents! Let us know what you go with cause im curious!Comment

Get both. You knew I was gonna say that right? But seriosuly I would go with the Kimber, I hate Blocks.
I want to get a new .45acp. I'm between the Glock 21 and the Kimber Desert Warrior. I know they are two totally different types of .45 but both have things that interest me. I don't have any 1911's right now but have a USP .45, Glock 19, Sig 226, Ruger P95DC, and a little Beretta. As I see it:
Glock 21+
Price
Durability
Quality
Mag Capacity
No external safety to get in the way
-
Not a fan of the trigger
Already have a Glock/USP
Kimber+
Great look
Don't have a 1911 yet
Shoots great
-
Have heard Kimber quality has gone down in recent years
7-8 shot mag
Beaver Tail
External safety
Up keep, as in I'll actually need to clean it
Twice the price of the Glock
If you guys have any opinions or suggestions please let me know. (PS not getting an XD, M&P)I do not provide legal services or practice law (yet).

Get both. I just picked up a Warrior II, and I'm pleased with it. If you are going to use a pistol for HD, use a Glock or some similar plast-o-matic, such as an XD. Not that the 1911 isn't a great HD gun, but which would you rather have confiscated, possibly never to return?A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having.Comment
