I've used WWB and CCI/Blazer from Walmart on my CDP and it shoots fine.

The desert warrior isn't on the list. You can get a Warrior II instead though. It's a nice gun a little pricey for 1200 bucks plus. I wish the finish on one was as nice a blued gun or like a Ed Brown Gen III coating.

I never liked the Glock 21 if you want a .45acp get a USP or a 1911. The thing now a days is if you get a 1911 just go all out and save yourself the headache of upgrading latter.

I had a nice springfield 1911 (that I paid an arm and a leg for) and got over it really fast....1911's are kind of over-rated IMO...Hell the glock was lighter weight and still kicked less than my 1911...

Id go with a glock 21sf but if you are set on a 1911 Id look at other makes...not a big fan of kimber as they havent been very reliable in my hands

I already have a USP 45 and it's a great gun. I'm looking to get a second .45 though. I think a lot of people don't like the Glock 21 because they have small hands, however I have huge hands and it fits me perfect.

Good advice on getting what I want now though.

USP 45 vice Glock I would recommend. However, I would go for the 1911 1st and then the other guns on your list.

I can't believe you even had to ask this question. Forget the Glock and get the Kimber.

                  Kimber.

Glock 21 felt like doodoo in my hands actually shooting it.

I would go ahead and just get both.
They are two different guns, and both are practical, and fun to use.
I have a glock 21, and my hands aren't large, and I love it.
I love the 1911 platform better, as I like the trigger on a 1911.

I would (and hopefully will soon) get the 1911 first. I absolutely love the 1911.

I actually had a chance to shoot a friends new glock 21c last weekend. It was the first glock that I have ever fired. I will say that I was impressed, and will probably go with a glock 17 down the road. Still planning on going with the 1911 first though. Anyhoo thats just my 2 cents! Let us know what you go with cause im curious!

I haven't shot a Glock or 1911, but I have shot a CZ 97. I also have large hands, and it felt good and shot very accurately, plus it's probably half the price of the Kimber. Try one out and see how it feels.

Get both. You knew I was gonna say that right? But seriosuly I would go with the Kimber, I hate Blocks.

Get both. I just picked up a Warrior II, and I'm pleased with it. If you are going to use a pistol for HD, use a Glock or some similar plast-o-matic, such as an XD. Not that the 1911 isn't a great HD gun, but which would you rather have confiscated, possibly never to return?
