Help trying to decide

I want to get a new .45acp. I'm between the Glock 21 and the Kimber Desert Warrior. I know they are two totally different types of .45 but both have things that interest me. I don't have any 1911's right now but have a USP .45, Glock 19, Sig 226, Ruger P95DC, and a little Beretta. As I see it:

Price
Durability
Quality
Mag Capacity
No external safety to get in the way

Not a fan of the trigger
Already have a Glock/USP


Kimber+
Great look
Don't have a 1911 yet
Shoots great

Have heard Kimber quality has gone down in recent years
7-8 shot mag
Beaver Tail
External safety
Up keep, as in I'll actually need to clean it
Twice the price of the Glock


If you guys have any opinions or suggestions please let me know. (PS not getting an XD, M&P)

Start with the Kimber, then later get the Glock if you still want it. I love 1911's.

I say 1911 first. I bought a Kimber Custom CDP II a little over a month ago and love it! It's my first 1911.

If you get the 1911 before the Glock - you will not go back ...

I have both Glock and many 1911s - trust me, 1911 is awesome and... the rest is history...

So - I would recommend getting the G21 first - then the 1911 (and G21 is much cheaper than the Kimber).

Don't buy a 1911! But if you do, get used to the idea of wanting to shoot it all the time and making your other guns are going to be jealous.

1911s are great. You'll buy one eventually, might as well make it your first.

i'd go with the kimber first, you won't be disappointed. also glocks are everywhere and you can get them anytime.

How do you intend to feed it. If you are going to hand load, get the Kimber.

I'm going to buy what ever ammo is on sale, even use some WWB. Is that OK with the Kimber?
