Where in Southern California are you located? OC Armory in Laguna Hills can do a single shot exemption on a P30 for you.

I'm in SD, there are two places that sell P30's via SSE. Parallax Tactical and Direct Action Solutions. Both sell them for 1k. Good luck and enjoy.

I really hope you don't expect to walk into a store and purchase an SSE'd a gun from the showcase. I am not saying its not possible, but most SSE'd guns require some sort of advanced purchase and extended waiting times.

Got my P30L from DAS in a bit less than a month. Down payment, gave me a call few weeks later when it showed up and filled out DROS. Then had my new baby in my hands 10 days later.

Nope. They said not a single P30 showed up in their distribution. I was not expected to see it on their showcase at all and willing to order.

Table Rock Arms (Ryan) can get you a P30, but you'll have to ship it to your FFL.

Yes, you can carry cocked and locked with the P30S. The only difference from the USP is that the decocker is located on the back of the gun, separate from the manual safety. I just wish the safety was as nice to use as a 1911 safety...
