Without spending more than 30 seconds searching...

9 boxes(450 rounds, that's a lot more than your 6 or 7 boxes) + $9 shipping(why do you keep thinking shipping goes up after your first order? That's not how every place works) comes up to $103.41 and no sales tax.

Even if I only bought 2 boxes at a time(100 rounds) it comes up to $26.98. After the 15% off $29.99 for 100 rounds at big5, you're still paying more because of sales tax.

Also once you consider paying 27 cents a round vs 30 cents a round at big 5 just for buying online(not even buying in "bulk") the deals don't even compare to actually buying in bulk(500-1000 rounds at a time) where the prices get down to 18-22 cents a round.

Yeah, it makes a significant difference. The only reason to not buy ammo online, is if you happen to live in an area where they won't ship to you. So unless you're allergic to saving money, you're still doing it wrong even if you live paycheck to paycheck(hell, if you're living paycheck to paycheck that's all the more reason to save every dime you can).

Thanks OP! I didn't think the coupon was real until I saw 5 guys at Big 5 carrying the coupon yesterday. Saved 10% on top of the sale price of a Mini-14 making it "reasonable" for a California convenient purchase (slightly above online prices).

Even at outrageous Big 5 prices, the coupon makes it reasonable (not good) for the 1-2 box guys at Merc1138 mentioned.

BTW, did anyone partake in the Turners Black Friday specials that they intentionally let run for a month? As mentioned by an employee, they screwed up on their ads making it confusing as to when the BF specials ended so they let it run most of December. Bought a bunch of $10 Blazer Brass 9mm and $15 Indepence 45ACP in limited quantities each visit.

Merc1138. That place you found is ok for 3 or more boxes pretty good place but most site charge a lot for shipping even for 2 or 3 boxes. Good place right there I will give you that . We should have of the best places to buy online for everyone's needs. I don't say anything on how someone should save cause I know everyone's life is different on spending limits or priority.

Like I said, that took me 30 seconds of looking around. I could find a better overall deal if I spent a couple of minutes on it. If you want to know about good online retailers that WILL get you better pricing even after shipping that big 5 and walmart, search the forum. People post deals all the time in the deal section, and there are even a handful of websites with sections dedicated to finding ammo deals.

You just have to take a few minutes to look, because it's not uncommon like you seem to think it is.

Easy. Big 5 I will get you but don't start on Walmart. Remember not bulk of 500 rds. Or more. Anyways never ending debate really. I say buy where you feel is the best for you. That's all that matters.
